The Open Sweepstake
I'm sure most of you were glued to the TV for The Open last weekend and what a dramatic finish! With Adam Scott leading by 4 shots, it was painful to watch him slip as Ernie Els finished with 4 birdies on the back 9, enough for him to win his second Open Championship. Although disappointing for Scott, it was great to see Els win as he has finished runner up in six other majors.
Congratulations to the winners on our sweep, John Harper and Frank Little with Ernie Els, who each win a £150 Pro Shop voucher. In second place with Adam Scott were Ivor Wilson and Mick Tamplin who each win a Pro Shop voucher for £100. In joint third place with Tiger Woods and Brandt Snedeker were Mark Birchill, Thomas Rainbow, Stan Royle and Nick Bird who win a £32 Pro Shop voucher. David Harris | David Wins the Seymour Salver
Congratulations to David Harris for winning the Seymour Salver last Saturday with 38 stableford points.
I think this was the first fairly dry weekend we've had in weeks, but the course was still playing very long, so well done to David for the win and cutting his handicap. Runner up was Paul Mitchell with 37 points and third was Ray Geary on 36.

Titleist Ball Fitting Day
Titleist will also be with us on 11th August to run a golf ball fitting day. 15-minute slots will be available to find which ball is the most suitable for you, and you will receive the best ball for you with the compliments of Titleist! Book now to avoid disappointment – first come first served!
